Ministry of Culture

The Ministry of Culture is responsible for initiating and managing cultural programs in Westarctica.

Among the initiatives advanced by the ministry are the Westarctica Art Expo, the Writing Fair, and the publication of Westarctica Quarterly.

The Department of Sport currently falls under the purview of the Minister of Culture and the Deputy Minister for Sport promotes Westarctica's participation in sporting events.

His Grace, the Duke of Fox Grove has been Westarctica's Minister of Culture since 2020.

The Deputy Minister of Culture for Sports promotes sporting events in Westarctica and publicizes the athletic achievements of our citizens.

Did you know Westarctica has an official ice hockey team? The Westarctica Ice Krakens have been practicing and playing in the Boston area for several years!

Art Expo

The Westarctica Art Expo is an semi-annual art showcase hosted by the Minister of Culture that is open to any citizen of Westarctica.

The expos are held online, with users digitally submitting a photograph of their work. The first of these expos was held in 2018.

Moulton-Berlin Orchestra

Although technically a function of the Royal Household, Westarctica's Kapellmeister is tasked with creating music which represents Westarctica.

Our Kapellmeister, the Duke of Moulton-Berlin, is a prolific musician and has released numerous albums devoted to Westarctica.

Westarctica Quarterly

Our national newsletter was first printed and sent for free to all citizens in 2006, but folded after only two issues. It was revived in 2021 as a digital publication which is published through our Facebook Citizens Group.
